Abstract.
The purpose of the study is to determine process evaluation of undergraduate entrepreneurship education degree programmes of tertiary institutions in Rivers State. The study adopted the CIPP model of evaluation developed by stufflebean 1971. The population of the study comprised of 1,380 respondents made up of 1,276 students, and 104 lecturers of entrepreneurship education degree programme of tertiary institutions in Rivers State. A sample size of 437 respondents was randomly selected for the study. One research question and one null hypothesis guided the study. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire tilted ?Entrepreneurship of Education Process Evaluation Rating Scale (EEPERS). The validation of the instrument was done by three experts. The consistency and reliability of the instrument was assured using the Cronbach Alpha method, to determine the degree of reliability which yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.87. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer research question, while t-test inferential statistics was used to test the null hypothesis. The findings of the study revealed that teaching methods used in implementing undergraduate economics education degree programme is adequate and meet required minimum academic standard of the National Universities Commission. Based on the discussion of finding, it was recommended amongst others that tertiary institutions offering entrepreneurship education degree programmes and their teaching staff should endeavour to adopt a more practical teaching method to ensure that quality and not half-baked entrepreneurship education graduates are produced for the society.
