Abstract.

The application of multiple off mesh implicit first and second order backward differentiation formula for the solution of stiff ordinary differential equations was developed via interpolation and collocation methods in this paper. In deriving the methods, we use the power series as a basis function to obtain the main continuous schemes.The analysis of the method was study and it was found to be consistent, convergent and zero?stabile with stability regions. The newly constructed methods was applied to on four systems of ordinary differential equations. We further compare first derivative with second derivative on each problems. It is obvious that, the second derivative performs better than the first derivative on all the problems.
